This year we topped the Division A league, which means we’re technically the best female college hockey team in Cambridge! We also beat Christchurch (Oxford) at the annual Trinity-Christchurch sports day and reached the final of the Cuppers tournament.

At college level, having strong team numbers every week is more important than individual skill so please don’t feel that you need to be a pro – I’d love to hear from you regardless of experience.

You can be as committed as you like but there’ll be the opportunity to play in a match most weekends, and I’m hoping to get a weekly training or fitness session going (depending on availability). We also have the occasional mixed hockey match with the men’s team.

It’s a great way to fit in some exercise around uni work, and more importantly you get to meet some lovely gals from Trinity and Fitzwilliam college via team brunch, dinners and nights out! We are also in the process of designing a new kit and some wavey stash which you can buy with your college sports grant.

I’d love to hear from you so that we can build on the huge success of last year. If you’re keen to give it a try or have any questions, email me at womenshockey@trinityfieldclub.net.
