Proudest Sporting Moment: Captaining the women’s hockey team to Cuppers finals two years in a row.

This year we finished 2nd in the college league, beat Christchurch (Oxford) at the annual Trinity-Christchurch sports day and reached both the women’s and mixed finals of Cuppers for the second year running! Put simply, we’re a really successful college team but without the commitment of training sessions or the need for university level hockey skills. For college sport, having strong team numbers each week is more important than individual skill so don’t worry if you haven’t played much hockey before. The team is a mixture of ex-uni players, current uni players, complete beginners and everyone in between, so we’d love to hear from you regardless of experience.

You can be as committed as you like, but there will be the opportunity to play in a match most weekends and we have the occasional mixed hockey match with the men’s team. It’s a great way to fit in some exercise around uni work, and more importantly you get to meet some lovely girls from two different colleges! Every regular player gets a FREE playing kit and we’ve been designing a range of wavey stash items that can be purchased with the college sports grant.

We’d love to hear from you so that we can build on the huge successes of last year. If you’re keen to give it a try or have any questions, email us at
