Hi everyone!

First of all, if you’re looking for a group of ‘lads’, Trinity Rugby probably isn’t for you - try St. John’s!

If, however, you’re looking for a team of ordinary guys who enjoy rugby and get a large amount of nice stash (read: ‘team merchandise’), then Trinity Rugby IS for you!!

Though we try hard to win, we never take it too seriously.

Matches: weekly, usually on Saturday afternoons
Training: typically once a week, usually on a Tuesday afternoon (circa. 14:30-16:30), but the frequency may increase when important matches are looming.

We try not to ask for too much of your time, so as a result we expect commitment and that you will attend as many trainings and matches as you can.

You don’t need to have played to a high level or indeed played at all before coming to Cambridge. All skill levels are welcome and catered for. We guarantee that no matter your experience or talent, if you’re enthusiastic you WILL play games. That’s a personal promise from me!

To summarise, by getting involved in Trinity Rugby you will get:

  • A squad of guys who you can immediately consider your friends. We’ll look out for you when things are looking down and celebrate with you when they’re looking up.
  • A great medium for staying fit and healthy. You’ll find that at university it’s easy to eat badly and often. We’ll run you about enough that you’ll be able to consume as many Van of Life Chicken Fajitas as your maintenance loan will allow, guilt-free.
  • Stash, stash and more stash. It varies each year, but previously players have been able to acquire full sets of Trinity kit, tracksuit bottoms, hoodies, training T-shirts. Pretty much all the Trinity bling you could hope for. If you don’t have a Trinity hoody with your name on, how else will anyone know that you played?

If you have any queries or worries, want to know more about trainings or anything, please feel free to contact me - dm676@cam.ac.uk.
