Hi,

I’m Edward, and I’m in charge of shooting at Trinity this year. You can tell that I enjoy this sport by the fact that I've been shooting for well over a decade and have yet to find a new hobby.

As a club, we welcome people of all levels of experience, from individuals who have never picked up a rifle to the seasoned sharpshooter. There are many highly experienced members of the club, who will be more than willing to sit down and provide advice and encouragement.

During Michaelmas and Lent terms, we focus on .22 calibre indoor shooting at 25 yards to build up the fundamentals of marksmanship before we transition to shooting the larger .308 outdoors at Bisley in the Easter. This is done at ranges from 300 to 1200 yards, providing new challenges and excitement. There are many competitions run throughout the year within the university, between universities and at local and national levels. Lots of opportunities for friendly rivalry and of course, prizes for individuals and College.

Outside of the university club, I also have great interest and am active in other shooting disciplines, in particular practical shooting, civilian and military service rifle.

If you have any questions about shooting at all, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at shooting@trinityfieldclub.net.
